The Philosophy Behind the Design

We always strive to be mindful of the fact that this site is not built for us, or even the causes we serve. This site is about you, our users, and all that goes into fulfilling your shopping needs. We hope to consistently meet them and see how more and more people come back each day, looking to contribute to changing the world one purchase at a time.

After taking a tour around similar sites and sampling online shoppers, we concluded that the most important element this field is missing is simplicity. Lets get this straight, when I browse around the Internet I want to get information, not the other way around. Do not force me to register and spam my inbox and provide other private details unless it is absolutely necessary. There is no need to sign in, activate an account, or remember yet another password here. I believe the best way to serve you is by making the retail sites available in an easily scannable format, while providing category lists and search features for further immersion.

One aspect of design we paid special attention to was how we intend to display advertisements here without degrading your shopping experience with unnecessary banners. As you know 100% of the commissions received through our retailers gets donated to charitable causes, whereas other sites in this field keep as much as half as profit. Since we find their business model simply unacceptable, we have chosen to place carefully selected advertisements in unobtrusive space on the page. Any revenue generated through these placements goes back into the site to pay upkeep costs and the continued development of Clickanthropy.
